Technique to limit the possibility of recurrent lumbar disc herniation

The article published in the American journal Spine in 2003 describes a technical solution that reduces to less than 1.5% the incidence of recurrent disc herniation after a lumbar microdiscectomy surgery.
It should be considered that in the international literature the recurrent disc herniation after surgery is deemed possible in 3-5% of cases and, therefore, this method significantly reduces the incidence of this problem.
